Future Advocacy is an organisation that aims to tackle humanity’s biggest challenges in the 21st Century. We work with two high-profile nutrition and education charities to develop their campaign and government relations strategies. We also have an exciting project focused on advocating for artificial intelligence that is beneficial for humanity. As part of this, we have produced a very well received policy report and hosted two events facilitating cross-industry collaboration in the last year. We aim to secure policy change through effective advocacy.
This is a great opportunity for an exceptional recent graduate to take the lead on our exciting project around artificial intelligence, to ensure that the risks of its development are minimised, while the opportunities are maximised. Through our events and the launch of our report we have created a number of excellent advocacy opportunities which this role will help us exploit.
The successful candidate will be thrown in at the deep end, and will quickly develop a wide range of skills including research, advocacy, event planning, and communications. They will work directly alongside the Founder/CEO.
The Founder/CEO previously launched the ONE (www.one.org) brand outside the USA and was Europe Director for the ONE campaign for 7 years, responsible for all ONE’s policy, advocacy, campaigns, digital, media, and advocacy work. He was a key architect of the Make Poverty History Campaign and staffed Bono and Bob Geldof for all their global work in relation to the G8 and G20. He has also worked as Movement Director for the anti-slavery organisation Walk Free; as an Executive Director of the Labour Party; and as Senior Advocacy Officer for Oxfam in Washington, DC.
