Pathways for Prosperity Commission

Policy development on AI in low-income countries

FUTURE ADVOCACY X PATHWAYS FOR PROSPERITY COMMISSION

The Commission was hosted at Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government and chaired by Melinda Gates. It brought together a diverse group of leaders with the aim of driving inclusive growth in an era of technological disruption.

We undertook a forward scan of digital technologies in low- and middle-income countries, with a view to helping policymakers implement the most impactful applications of these technologies. We sought to understand the opportunities these technologies present, as well as barriers to their widespread use.  We also researched and wrote a paper for the Commission on the opportunities and risks of AI for health in low and middle-income countries.
