Location: Berlin – home-based initially, with the expectation of hybrid working in time.
Contract Type: Full-time, fixed term until 31 December 2027 (with the potential to go permanent, depending on funding).
Start Date: October 2025
Reports to: Germany Director
Salary and Benefits: €34-36k depending on experience, plus a discretionary annual bonus, a 6% employer pension contribution, and the right to work from any location for up to 25 working days per year.

The Role
We are seeking a Research, Advocacy, Campaigns and Communications Associate Consultant – Germany. This is a great opportunity to be quickly immersed in a small, dynamic organisation that places a strong focus on team and personal development. The successful candidate will quickly develop a range of skills, including advocacy, writing, research and communications. They will work closely with the Germany Director, CEO and other senior leaders as part of our small and energetic team.
The Research, Advocacy, Campaigns and Communications Associate Consultant – Germany will support the Germany Director in implementing a major new project supported by the Gates Foundation. This project is in the early stages of launching the ‘Strategic Communications and Advocacy Lab (SCAL)’ which is designed to shift dominant narratives around Official Development Assistance (ODA), and to create the political space for government action on this.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a short online assessment and if successful, first round interviews will be held (online) during the week commencing 29 September. Interviews will be carried out primarily in English, with some questions in German.
If we’re both excited to proceed, second interviews will be held in person, where we will ask you to complete a written task.
