In consultation with a wide range of developers, businesses, health experts, and patients’ groups we developed a set of recommendations for the NHS’s ‘Code of Conduct for data driven health and care technology’, specifically around the use of artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. AI has massive potential to improve healthcare but the guardrails have to be in place to ensure innovation and patient safety go hand in hand.
